Annulment process

I met with Deacon Jim today at 10:00 am. We have officially began the annulment process. Today was basically an information gathering session. We talked alot about my first marriage. This was over 15 years ago, I was young and silly and honestly don't remember a lot of details. I'm working on that. Mainly because I don't think about it, kinda blocked it out so I now need to recapture the details. There are lots of very personal questions.

We meet again next Friday and it is my goal to have all of the documents and information together. I really want to be able to join the church at Easter with my Son. I'm praying for that but I also know that everything happens for a reason. I have contacted me ex husband via Facebook (the only contact info I have for him) to try to get an address so he can be contacted. I don't know if he will give it to me or not. He is incredibly far behind on child support and is living in Canada with his new wife. I figure if he wont give it to me then maybe I can have him give it to the Deacon. Child support is important but that's not what this is about.

I'm getting use to my medication. Not sleeping all day but still sleepy :-) I have high hopes!

Brandon is going to the youth group tonight. It is called the KLUB (idk what that means yet..) I'm excited that he is showing interest in church activities!

More later I'm sure

My SIL (married to my hubs baby brother) had to annul 2 marriages to get married in the Catholic Church . .. she was in RCIA at the time as well. Try not to focus on anything but the fact of how cleansing this process can be. You are doing the right thing. Prayers for you!!

You are so right. In talking with the Deacon Friday I remembered that I went to counseling for the overwhelming guilt I felt after leaving my ex husband. It's amazing how I can forget things like that. Then again it has been a looong time!
