O Christmas Tree

I finally caved and drug the tree out today. I've never been a fan of artificial trees. As a matter of fact I said I would never have one. That is until my Grandmother passed away and somehow her tree ended up at our house. I have put it up every year since then. This year we have a real Jesse tree but the big tree is Grans :-)

My daughter Katelin told me that she likes real trees and wants to use real trees every year when she is grown. She asked me please not to leave her the artificial tree when I am gone. Because she doesn't want one but like me she knows that she would put it up every year if I left it for her! lol - I would've never thought to tell my Gran NOT to leave me something. Smart cookie.

I'm still reading in my Little Blue Book each day. Some days touch me more than others.

It's been a busy week here. My daughter and her boyfriend broke up. They had been dating for a year and a half and living together since June. It's a tough time for her but I think the beginning of something wonderful. She has started going to church and saving her money. I'm very very hopeful for great things to come of this!

Well, the tree is about half way put together and the kids want to watch a movie at 8 so I should probably get going!

I'm so glad about the medicine situation. I cannot believe how expensive meds are! I know most of them come free to us being Active Duty, but we still pay for OTC's even though if we sat through a boring class and got the card, we could get those free through the clinic too . . . I don't mind buying those.

I have put up the same fake tree for sixteen years now. I miss the real, but not the price! Still, this tree has lasted so long and saved us so much money, I will be glad to kick it to the curb in the next few years. Like, if we end up somewhere where Xmas trees are abundant and not a gazillion bucks. as if!

Happy Advent!
