It's been a long week. That is the only way I can think to describe it. The longest of long weeks. Not necessarily bad but long...

We had the most beautiful weather this week! Sunny, warm and birds galore! I put up my new bird feeder only to have it fall completely apart when it rained. Now tell me what sense it makes to produce a bird feeder that falls apart when it rains? Needless to say, I got to work with my handy dandy wood glue, glued that sucker back together and then stained and polyed it. It looks twice as good now and the birds are loving it!

I've joined flylady again. If you have a hard time keeping up with your house (like me! lol) check it out at flylady.com. I've tried to fly in the past and I really need the help now. I must get my house in order :-)

Casey, my oldest left today for a weeks vacation in Pennsylvania with her friends from when we lived there a few years ago. I think this will be very good for her. She's such an awesome young lady! She's changing right before our eyes!

I've really enjoyed watching the Duggars on TV. I discovered them a few months ago and have fallen in love with them. Although they are not Catholic, they have such strong faith, they teach that faith to their children and it is such a blessing to me to see them in action. If anyone knows any other shows I would enjoy please let me know!

Kevins best friend since high school lost his mother this week. We've spent alot of time trying to help him get everything done. Kevin has been going over in between shifts and taking him to get haircuts, get pants for the funeral, taking him to make arrangements etc. My husband is such a good friend!

My mother went to court yesterday. If you've been following my blog, you will know that back in November (I think it was Nov.) her house was involved in a drive by shooting. My mother and my aunt were there. One was sleeping and the other awake. Two different bullets missed my Mothers head by mere inches. She had been up most of the night praying with a friend because her pastor had told them that he felt something violent was going to happen! The trial will go to the grand jury hopefully next month.
