Leaves on the ground!

I love this time of year! The weather is getting a bit chillier each day, there are leaves scattering across the lawn and with the chill in the air.. my energy returns! Strange isn't it!?

There is so much to post that I don't even know where to start nor do I think anyone would want to read it all in one sitting :-)

The greatest news to come out of this Summer season is a new addition to our family. On July 26th we went to court with David who had been with us since mid June and left there with custody. I was surprised because well... I didn't think it was quite that easy! We didn't even file for custody. They were doing a review of his case and voila we left with a new child! David is 14, a freshman in High School this year and has a heart of gold. He is settling in nicely. We fixed up the room we have upstairs for the two of them to share for now. We moved my oldest daughter down into a regular sized room. When Casey does leave home the boys will be able to have their own rooms. I'm in no hurry for that but I'm sure it's bound to happen :-) Things aren't all sunshine and lollipops but I am very happy with how things are going. Obviously from the picture above you can see that David will never pass as a biological child lol we all have lighter hair and are shorter and chubbier for the most part :-)

I am slowly but surely getting back to church. I've continued to read my bible, do devotionals and talk to God throughout the day but church has been somewhat a stumbling block. I'm not exactly sure why but I have my theories. My annulment is still in the works. We are waiting for one last witness to submit another form that was mailed out. Unfortunately she lost the first one :-) My theory is that the annulment process is making me behave cautiously. I am afraid and unsure what I will do if it is denied. I've found myself guarding my heart from the very person who holds it! How crazy is that!

I am back to work on my living room project. It took a back seat to the boys bedroom this summer. We've lived in a construction zone for too long so that is my new priority around the house.

I've missed you all! I'm looking forward to having the time to post, reply and comment more again! I have never stopped reading everyone's blogs but should have time to interact again.

God Bless You!

Congratulations! It looks like he is a very happy child/teenager!

I will be praying for you and your family. It sounds like you have many things going on - most of which are great new adventures!!

I'm your newest follower from iFellowship!

Feel free to come see me if you get a chance - over at Living Above.

I'll be praying for you and your church journey. I remember when I went back to church (after having been gone for over 10 years) it was done with much tears - but found comfort, peace, and family. It's worth the search and the commitment!

Hang in there!
