My prayer life is more a ritual sometimes. Morning prayer involves the rosary and prayer intentions for family and friends. The rest of the day I find myself bringing myself into the presence of God in short ejaculations. At bedtime I find the examination of conscience and an Act of Contrition well worthwhile before nodding off to sleep.

Congratulations on your 100th post! Cathy

Congrats! I love the Mercy Chaplet and the Rosary, I pray these regularly. The rest of the day I just chat with the Lord off and on. Oh, and I sing to Him :) I make sure I intercede for people on a daily basis, too :)
I'll link to this post on my blog.

I pray the rosary daily, sometimes twice, and I say Lauds, Prime, and Vespers from the 1962 Divine Office books. Often I just talk to God during the day, or think of Him when I see or hear something beautiful.

found you through Colleen's blog. I pray best in the woods...out in nature...the quiet...the smells...make me feel so alive and close to my Creator. Sarah Hey and congrats...

Congratulations! And thanks for sharing your blogging joy with US!
I love the Angelus, the Divine Mercy Chaplet, and the Rosary...these, for me, are like meeting up with Jesus and His mother throughout the day and taking a little walk with them...in fact, sometimes I DO go out into the woods to pray! My girls and I love to sing Psalms while we clean...this is a form of prayer to us too:) And during my day, I try to be in constant communication with God...praising, surrendering, thanking, and seeking His will. Funny as it seems, I also enjoy visiting our own website on our Quiet Reflections page...it's as though I'm reading the prayers for the first time...even though I wrote them!
Off to share your link and tell the friends of benmakesten about your GREAT contest!

My prayer life is mostly at bedtime. That's when I find the best time to be quiet and focus. It started with my parents who taught me the basic child bedtime prayers and I've continued into my adulthood. In fact I still pray the childhood prayer and then go on from there.

Congrats on your 100th post! I'll now follow you too :)

I have my prayer time in the early morning...as soon as I get up, I start the coffee, then read the daily reading from Living Faith Daily Catholic Devotions. I meditate on them, sometimes I pray the rosary, sometimes I sit quietly and try to hear what the Lord is trying to tell me.

Thank you all so much for your comments! This is one thing I have struggled with is creating some Me and HIM time! I know how important it is and yet have the most trouble with making it happen.

It is so wonderful to read what each of you do regularly because then I can check it out and see what works for me. That is the wonderful thing about the blogsphere! Just remember the next time you see a candidate or catechumen (sp?) at your church. They may have some of the same questions that I have had. It's tough to figure it all out :-)

I will keep reading and am looking forward to more sharing on this one!
